Occupational Therapy

Through “targeted play,” we help children develop the skills needed to carry out their daily living activities.

Indications that an evaluation may be needed include:

  • Difficulty with postural control, balance, overall strength and endurance
  • Fine motor deficits, including difficulty manipulating small objects, using scissors, and fastening clothing
  • Difficulty with visual perceptual/visual motor tasks, such as completing interlocking puzzles
  • Over-reaction or under-reaction to touch, movement, sights, and sounds
  • Trouble with handwriting
  • Feeding issues or problems with oral motor movements
  • Difficulty with self care skills, such as dressing, toothbrushing and using utensils during mealtime
