Services
The
Clinical Services program provides speech-language pathology, occupational
therapy, and audiology to
infants, toddlers, school-age children and adults who need on-site, home or
community-based services. The Hearing and Speech
Agency offers a sliding fee scale for clients who qualify. The Agency also
participates in Hear Now, a national program that provides hearing aids to
individuals at or near the poverty level.
A fee schedule is available upon
request. A sliding scale for reduction in fees is available for
individuals with limited income. Proof of income is required for
consideration of the sliding scale.
Anyone of any age may be referred to The Hearing
and Speech Agency for evaluation of his/her speech, language, hearing, or
occupational therapy.
Children may be referred by parents, grandparents, guardians, foster parents,
pediatricians, social workers, schools, and so on. Adults may refer
themselves, or be referred by family members, friends, physicians, social
workers, employers, and DORS (Maryland State Department of Education, Division
of Rehabilitation Services).
